And sometimes I think we equate easiness with happiness. The first vision is something she taught endlessly as a missionary - same with the Book of Mormon translation. I believe in temple marriage, and in the importance of those covenants. Yeah man, don't doubt someone who was a missionary will try to convert you.

But it is the path we have to go through to get to that point that really scares me. What am I getting myself into. I'm sorry this was so longwinded and not really an answer to your questions. It's gonna hurt, and it's gonna break her heart, but much less so than waiting until you've both committed to each other and start discussing your future together.
The sons inevitably went inactive later in life. What is it like to become a doctor in your country. A straight-laced, returned sister missionary, raised in the cult, and in family of similarly entrenched cult members, will not likely remain happy with a non-member.
Even if the church believes a bunch of crazy nonsense, and she believes it too, I still really like her and would like to see whether we can have some good intellectual conversations about this stuff. They could fill a book, the stories I could tell. That conversation prompted me to find and read through this sub, and there's some seriously disturbing shit here. There are so many potential problems they would fill a book.
